I can't see any of your attachments in post #9 either.

Perhaps one of the admins can see it and will re post it. I don't know why this sometimes happens that some members can see the attachments and others can't.

In post #26 and post #28 I'm seeing all but the last of the photo's you have linked to.

Anyway it still looks single phase. VERY optimistic feeding four flats from one 100A single phase incomer. I think whoever made that 415V label made a mistake.

I expect in the rhyfield unit above the head (distribution board with a rack of 100A fuses inside it) they have looped the one phase to all phases instead of the builder paying for a 3p cable to be put in/jointing etc..

?

As said above , I too think its a bit optimistic to feed four flats from one 100A SP supply , I wonder if it gets warm when everyones' cooking etc.

I've done loads of ordinary houses turned into two flats , one up one down, where the DNO just leave the original 100A STA SP supply cable . Never had a problem TBH .

Years ago my M8's firm did a Design & install for a large multi occupancy block of flats , don't know how many flats (lots) . Not being used to the discrimination used by the DNOs they asked for a gi-normous supply . "No chance " say DNO " you can have 300A , don't worry it'll be fine "

And so it was . M8 was thinking the same as me , OMG!!! all the cookers and showers getting switched on ....but think about it ..thats why we have HRC fuses.

The discrimination on DNO supplies is silly. Even then i've installed 200A 3p stuff for heating systems with 11x50A flat supplies and afterwards checked the load at full capacity in a cold winter with only around 60A per phase!

Was there not a story a little while ago in pro electrician about down rating DNO fuses to 60 or 80Amp to "relieve stress on the network"?

I used to do all the sparking in 13 blocks of flats, round the corner from me. Purpose built as blocks of 4, 2 bed flats.

Incomer is a single concentric (TT) ( o.d. approx 20mm), daisy-chained into four HEDs, each with its own 60A fuse.

A couple of the flats used to report "fish smells" from the hallway.....in all bar one case, it was the concentric getting very hot. ( the "other" case - you don`t want to know :red card )
