Hi, I'm 36 years old and currently studying my City & Guilds 2330. I've completed the level 2 and started level 3. Paying for training myself through OLCI Construction Training. Signed up for 17th Edition, NVQ3 and Part P so all being well should qualify as soon as I can get through the work.

A little bit of background on myself, I used to be a quality control inspector in an electronics company till 2001 but also worked nights in a local pizza shop for extra cash. I then decided I wanted to work for myself. I had an opportunity to purchase a Fish & Chip shop which I did and I made a good living from this until August 2009. I wanted a new career and a new challenge. My original plan and end goal is to work for myself again but as I am needing experience and obviously needing to work to help pay the bills, I really need to get some sort of work whilst I'm training. I am a family man with a wife and children, i'm hard working (used to work days and nights in my shop) I also have my own van, recently bought a MFT 1553 Megger and hand tools but also have other tools, conduit bender, steps etc etc.

Basically, i'm needing a bit of work housebashing for experience and a little bit of extra cash to relieve the stress from my wife, LOL.

Anymore information you can call me on 07717 280942 or PM me any details etc.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Scott.

Definitly a good idea to try and get some work while you do the course, helps with the nvq later on, and with the wife as you say! Might find that you need to have finished the 2330 Level 3 before you

just to add, i have all the basic knowledge of installations, ring circuits, radials and know my way around the On Site Guide with regards to cable calculations, trip times etc etc. Have passed buildings and structures and know how to test basic circuits and what the readings mean on the meter etc. I am willing to work for free as I need house bashing experience in first fix and second fix etc etc!! I am studying full time everyday and pick things up VERY quickly and without blowing my own trumpet, I will be through my level 3 within the next 8 weeks (Dates dependant for exams)

My experience in the past includes CU change, ring mains, lighting circuits, showers etc etc but all on empty propertys so need to get the tricks of the trade with regards to working efficiently within peoples homes and full rewires would also be great!

I aim to apply to NAPIT for a grade B competant persons acreditation until passing my NVQ3 which i'll have to be working to complete.

Can anyone help please.?
