And a new main earth block (top right)

Most of the circuits are VIR and this is the rewire that took over a year and a half to book in? :| ?:| ? :| ?:|

Interesting Earth Rod arrangement. I assume everywhere was concrete so no chance of a inspection pit?

There is at least 3' of concrete all around this property, and it's only 3" thick...

I don't really like banging rods in because it's difficult to tell what's beneath..

Could be tap, tap, tap, BANG!!! :_| :_| :_|

or tap, tap, tap, ****SSTT :_| :_| :_|

But in this case all went well!!

Good way of installing rod. looks much easier than digging a large hole for a pit
Earth rods are not supposed to be above gnd cos you can get a shock off them in certain circumstances. The odds are pretty low but thats the regs

Show me the reg and I'll agree with you....

structural steel work as an earth electrode???

Lightning protection???

Earth bonded water & gas pipes???

All of the above are exposed and connected to your earth point!

Noz are they wood boxes on the lighting. I just finished a rewire, was wired in the fifties. Rubber cables but managed to do a lot without to much damage to decoration. A lot was run down cavities so these parts had to be chased out. Customer was well pleased because he did not want to do to much decorating.

Don't know for certain if they are wooden boxes as yet, but I would guess that they are, hopefully I can just get away with replacing the back boxes but I have allowed some time for plastering!
If you get pushed welshie could give you a hand he's a dab hand at plastering or is it getting plastered.

:D

I know we are both in Wales, but I think his traveling time might be a bit high!! :^O :^O:^OI can get to London quicker than I can get to Cardiff:_| :_|
Noz

Yes travelling is not good. Where I have been working takes me over an hour to do about 20 miles its murder.

:_|

You've been watching too many re runs of "Hart to Hart"!! :^O :coat
Is that back on. I like watching the old ones, Sweeney, Professionals and Minder on Itv4 brings back memories of my youth.
