Adding an extension point to a BT versatility business system

Still on that brewery job (its taking a looooooooooong time, as its very thirsty work :x

The brewery needs a `phone line, which I`ve taken back to the main building.

They`re running the BT "versatility" system, which can handle 3 lines & 8 extensions, but they only have three phones in the building at the moment.

So.....I want to configure the "new" socket as an extension; but I don`t have a scooby where it needs to go!!!

Any ideas, anyone?

8 4 way krone strips in ccu. 2 x pstn krones on left [lines in]

8 x 4 way krones on right

use 2 pair minimum

pins are abcd

a and b are speach

c and d are data

other than that my memory has faded

Ah...

Is that one of them systems where each phone has loads of buttons on the front

NOT a standard phone you could plug in at home?

and any handset can answer any incoming line..

i.e. No reception phone...

That will be like as Kerpow says...

1 x Voice pair

1 x Data pair...

I'd forgotten about those systems.....

But I do recall equivalent manufactures systems now my intoximataceted mind has been nudged!

You can plug any `phone in, and they work

Lines are programmable so they will / won`t ring on incoming, dependant on time of day / time of month / other.... :slap

Fanks guysies - I think that`ll do it for me

p.s. I knew about the two pair - but I didn`t know physically where the cabling needed to go to! - sorted now :x
