I'm 2330 qualified but I've limited three phase experience due to the fact most of my work is domestic. I've now been asked to provide an isolator switch for an Air Handling Unit located next to the fire escape stairs in an office back yard. The Air con engineer will wire up the AHU from the isolator switch.
My questions are - will I have to use SWA cable from the D/B to the isolator switch or can I use plasic/metal conduit with singles? And what type of isolator switch is required? The D/B is about 3m above the AHU. I haven't got the AHU spec with me now but I know it's not a huge industrial scale AHU. I'm going to check it out tomorrow.
Advice appreciated
