Wow wow wow. Barbara I think I have unraveled this post.

Your original 1st quote wasn't £12600. It was £12100. The £500 labour you keep going on about is actually a sweetener he offered to get the contract.
The 2nd quote you mentioned was actually the 3rd quote if your logic about the £12600 being the 1st quote is correct..

As I mentioned. The company may be able to purchase the original panels at a cheaper discount.
Have you contacted the company to ask for clarification as why they are changing the price of the other items.
Ask why the £500 discount on la our has increased? It could be as simple as a typo, don't forget these people are doing hundreds of quotes per year so mistakes can happen

Isn’t the web unhelpful

customer asks for quotes and gets them. Other contributors stick their oars in based on a few words written by others, yet only the people who visited the site can really see the issues.

if the OP isn’t happy, then cancel and get other quotes …
