Just going through the emails & one of my customers has intermittant activation of the heat/smoke detectors....

Is it me or are these Aico units going down hill, this is the second customer to complain of the same fault in as many weeks.

For info this job used 1x heat 3x ion all on RF bases.

Other job had 1x heat & 4x ion plus 1x photo again on rf bases.

Both jobs are a matter of weeks old.

Yet again I'll have to change all the headsheadbang

I only use Aico ( I am an accredited installer) and always use the Li-Ion heads and RF bases. I have fitted thousands and have not had any problems yet. Can't fault them.

it would be interesting to know if it is the heads or the radio linking.

do they hoover out the heads every so often?

have they done any sanding/decorating without covering the heads?

New install only 3 weeks old.

Dust covers have been fitted while other work has been going on.

2nd set of heads have given same false activation. Customer said the landing unit is the first to sound..........I leaning towards dust on the landing cfl burning off may be the cause.

Going to put original set back in minus the landing unit & see.

could there be something operating at the same wireless frequency ie the internet at 2.4ghz or wireless intruder alarm near any of the units ???

How far from the bathroom is the landing unit fitted ?

Have had quite a few problems with aico heads bleeping intermitantly. Installed hundreds for the council and the amount we had to replace was quite shocking! :^O
