I've been rung up by a customer whose alarm will not reset. He says the electricity went 'off' and when it came back on his alarm started to sound. He tried putting his number in but it would not resett. The only way he's been able to stop it sounding is by pulling the fuse from the FCU and disconnecting the internal battery. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be and more importantly how to resolve it

Its an Optima XM. Apparently when the electric went 'off' the alarm started to ring and it wouldn't resett.

optima panels are renowned for going back to factory default in the event of a power failure.

Try the factory set user number

Thanks very much for your help peoples. It was the internal battery that had given up living
