Hi All,

Name is Usif Ali and I'm obviously new to this forum but not to diy projects, although I have now decided to branch out into somewhat more challenging diy projects that require mains power.

Not judging or anything but this whole 10 posts before you can add hyperlinks or even smileys to a post is very stringent for what I would consider a specialized forum.

All I wanted to do was ask some questions with regards to my diy curing oven project and I was simply adding links so that views could see exactly what I was talking about.

it's there for good reasons. This site is basically manned by volunteers who don't have time to spend all day on here, so the 10 postings helps get rid of a lot of spammers.

You would be surprised how many spammers this deters, the moderators used to (in the old days) have many many spam posts to delete and users to ban on a daily basis, now however we probably only get one a month due to the stringent conditions we apply to new members.

If you are an honest member and obviously not a spammer then if an admin sees you posts and you need to put a link or photo up then you normally get upgraded by them before the 10 post limit.
