Hi All,

I've been asked to rewire for a new kitchen. Most of the current worktops are being replaced by tall housings leaving 1 run of worktop as useable. At 1 end it has a corner sink and the other a gas boiler. This leaves just the centre section for sockets, unfortunately this section has the kitchen window in it so there isn't enough depth of wall for them. I've seen the S/S undercabinet sockets which would be fine if the sockets were fitted the other way round. Any other ideas, angled surface boxes????????????

Hi Evans,

Do you have any info on these benchtop boxes, they seem just the kiddie

Cheers

MK also do angled trunking that can be mounted horizontally, or even vertically in corners. Actually, next week i'm doing a friend a favor and using this trunking system to provide sockets in his kitchen. You can also use these new gizmo's, that are sunk into the worktop, and raised when required.

In this case, he has already tiled walls and marble worktops, so no chance of going the conventional route. Only access is from the wall cabinets. It's quite a big kitchen and only has one double socket above the worktop. He never gave a thought to power requirements ...until it was too late!!! ...Typical!!!

Edited ....Yes that's the Gizmo ...''pop-up'' sockets ...lol!!
