Another cold call.

Well apparently back in January I agreed to advertise in some booklet about anti bullying for kids???

Guess what it's now ready for print & ditribution (same as it was in March when I had the same call) & do I have a prefferred school I'd like the booklets in my area to go to.

The woman got right on her high horse when I said it's just another scam tio get cash ROTFWLROTFWL:^O

I'm to expect one of these booklets with the advert I agreed to drop on my door mat in the next few days.

At this point in her rant she hung up, which I was well miffed with as I wanted to know where I'd signed any paperwork about wanting this advertisement & why hadn't I proof read any advert & what order number I'd given them for the advert (now if she came up with an order number I'd be well f***ing surprised & ask her for the next weeks winning lottery numbers)

On top of that I'd be wanting to know how many of the kids that are gonna get these booklets, would be wanting the services of an electrician?.......8 to 16 year olds in my thinking are not an ideal market target for wanting electrical work undertaking.... but hey what do I know.

Anyway if I do get an invoice for an advert (that I know sod all about) from this anti bullying group, I think I shall inform them that their office is in need of a rewire & they need to pay the invoice totaling

Kindly refer to my scam of the day posts - legal action needed is detailed there if required.

Threatening to counter sue for time spent dealing with them helps aswell, and don't take too much notice of quasi-legal forms/ letters/threats etc. They can't touch you without a CCJ if they apply the court will contact you and you will have to make real legal defence - which is where your NICEIC legal team can step in and assisst (can't do much beforehand apparently)

There is something that you can do Zee, Register with the TPS.

If they cold call again, tell them you are with TPS and they are breaking the law. If they phone again, well ****e will hit the fan.

TPS works on our home number , well, filters out 95% of what we used to get anyway. Well worth it . Number is in the phone book I think.

Never thought to apply it to the cell phone.

I have had the exact same call, I told them where to go and they put the phone down when I told them I had a short term memory problem so all my calls are automatically recorded.ROTFWLheadbang

TPS has worked for me & cut down on the number of cold calls. It's amazing how quickly they hang up when you mention them. The main calls that seem to get through now are from overseas call centres who are not regulated by them.

it may be working and stopping some calls, but i still get loads of calls. kinda what happens when phone number is easy to get hold of. even if it stops a few calls, still got to be worth it

I've had the exact same call, saying the advert i ordered was ready to print!

I didn't order an advert. i do remember them calling and i told them no thanks.

Cheeky Buggers! They just hung up on me in the end.
