any councils recognising other scams now?

as the newer scheme providers have been around for a while now and are obviously serious about staying a provider. have any councils recognised them yet or are they still wearing NIC blinkers ?

My local council must recognise Elecsa, as their own community housing vans show the Elecsa signage now.

Solihull Council ( Borders on B,ham) refused my ELECSA cert for a job I did there, NICEIC only . They always were awkward there , I don't believe they were not aware of the new Part P bullshine. Thats three times I have had to get ELECSA to step in .

Why are certs being given to the council?

Surely the scheme provider takes care of all that.

Maybe part of other building work? No need to notify seperatly then just submit certs to inspector when they do the final inspection.

Or maybe its work for the counsil?

It was a council owned warden controlled flat, the customer had informed them of the work being done and they replied with "No problem as long as electrician is NICEIC"
