 nothing wrong with it.

So we have some interesting opinions here   ( naturally)   .  Everyone I mentioned this to had said  "  You're going doolally Deke    all diesel is the same , produced to the same BS  number.    "

BUt I can  "feel "  the difference , I'm sure I can ,   with ASDA diesel  the Combo drives like my old  BT Escort Van  ...0  - 60  in half an hour  and  would even fade out on gradual Motorway inclines  with 90 ton trucks steaming past .........  but with Gulf diesel  Combo  drives like a car  .   I'll swap back at next fill up and take more notice.

This is NOT an advert for Gulf Diesel !!!
OK  Thats that tank of ASDA  Diesel  used up ...filled up this morning  with Gulf  and YES  its definitely better .  No doubt .    There is no "dead" spot  when accelerating , up hills without changing down ,  van definitely drives like a petrol car today  .

I am NOT imagining this  ...Viva  la Difference!!

I find supermarket fuel ok, but not as good as the local Texaco diesel. My vans are relatively new, so difference may not be so noticeable. The supermarket petrol was part alcohol to make it cheaper, not sure if you do that with diesel?

Got great economy from Sainsbury's low sulphur diesel, not sure they do it anymore???

I have always owned German cars which are a bit needy, so Ive only ever run them on shell or bp fuel none of that supermarket  lettuced never had any fueling problems, build quality on the other hand...

On recommendations of other German diesel owners I've always used Miller's diesel additive.
