I'm travelling over tonight as I'm finishing off a massive remedial list I made while inspecting a dry cleaners owned by our Indian friends ;)

So after today it will have no rubber cables and no 3036 porcelain fuses and it will have a water and gas bond ha ha I think it was William Gilbert's first installation in 1600AD ;)

I can't wait to see everyone as its been 2 years since my last meet and it will be nice to put a face to the names on here

;)

What happened to the Magma girls/dogtags/giveaways today? Nobody on the stand and nothing being given away apart from demos of kit. which is nice btw, just hoped for some sunglasses! or a smile....

the OP said they'd be there only on Thursday. My mistake. lol!

I got some sunnies :)

I did buy an automatic wire stripper though, that KME then informed me wasnt as good or durable as his, he used less words though, only 2 ! :|

That is what I couldnt understand the first time they were mentioned on here,,

Unfortunately they dont, you are required the apply pressure to the handles, :(

I have tried all types of tools but revert to a trusty set of side cutters and a few basic screwdrivers. My side cutters chisel, hammer, cut and strip, mind you I get through a fair number per year.

I do not like those sidecutters with the 2.5 and 1.5mm cut holes in, they hamper cutting through cables. I have tried those auto cable strippers but I find that whilst quicker than my side cutters the time it takes to utilise three or four separate tools, my sidecutters have done the business.

Well at least I got them cheaper than that, so I didnt get ripped off twice,

See how I get on with them, if they work for me then maybe invest in something better.

No worries KME, :)

KME - they are more than 4X the price!

I have the CK ones and have been pleased with them. Will strip anything from 10mm singles, 2.5T&E down to single strands of data wire. With no adjustment. The wire cutter on them is not worth having.

Unbelievable!

We have 40 freebies left - Including sun-glasses for the optimistic

how can we do some good with them?

We are happy to do whatever, ideas please

I know a couple of guys who wanted sunglasses but missed out :( .... me and my mate Mark!

As for the other 38, you could do a draw on here, ebay them, keep them for the next show.... ;)

CK,

I believe that perhaps a 1st come 1st Served post could be good!

BTW, it's been a while now since I came up from South Wales to North Wales, I used to look after the machines in the saw mill in Jewson across the road, regularly!

CK i'll have a pair if ones going and you can throw in a pair of combi snips while your at it, even though i bought my yearly spare pair at the show and got huckled into buying a bush spanner as well

Guinness

Yeah, what was the deal sub the bush spanners?

I didnt buy one on principle that the guy was almost forcing me to buy one,

I was going to along with the auto strippers I got up until the point where the bloke just auto handed it to me with the bill for both!

He was the sort of person I thought of just walking away from with nothing TBH.
