Well...

I hope it works coz I've just done my month old "new" iPad.

Will report back after the restore to see what things are like!!!

Apparently if you do a hard reset on it then it goes back to factory settings, so, not too much of a loss if it does not work, as long as the reset procedure does!

:D

Well it's on a restore from iTunes now, so I'll let you all know later.

Nowt to loose really as long as the hard reset works!!!

iTunes says less than an hour to restore, will I then get flash player?...

OK Boaty,

What are the advantages of jailbreaking?

I had tried to get flash on it before, and failed to find this app.

If nowt then I may reset it.

Its just not done :shakehead No self respecting apple nerd would break a thing of beauty :tongue in cheek
Thank goodness I'm not an Apple Nerd then!

Please remember I installed Ubuntu on a 3 month old Lenovo laptop on top of Win7, when it was still under warranty, so I'm not worried about hacking things, as it's not illegal so what is the issue?

It just annoys me that Apple restrict you to what you can do with the device.

regards what it can do,

i was shown on iphone that had the JB, a couple of apps that would allow downloading of torrents. the particular torrent clients can then download apps for free.

wont do my ipad or i phone but Ive read jail breaking apple tv opens up whole new worlds of fun, that I might do one day.
