Rip off e-bay... :(

You could have

one of these....

MK Sentry Locking Device | Screwfix.com

AND

one of these....

Wylex MCB Padlocking Kit | Screwfix.com

and still have change fore one of these... Guinness

:slap

p.s. you can normally get both the above items cheaper elsewhere..

think I paid a couple of quid each for a few of mine and a few quid more for a pack of miniature padlocks with common key from Wilko!

;)

When I done my 2391 practical last week the tutor lent me that exact lockout device and must say it was a gooden. I use the little brass dolly lock for about a tenner from thefusecompany.com but must say this one is a bit better as padlock is attached so no separate keys to worry about.

How often do you honestly use your lockout kit. Assessment time only? Cheers :)

M4tty,

Very often on commercial/industrial as the point of isolation is often remote from where you are working.

Domestic, rarely unless the client has difficulties in understanding what I am explaining!

On assessment, rarely believe it or not, I normally task my assessor as being my watchman!

Never been mentioned at assements:O

Exactly that - Commercial. Twice I've had numpties switch the circuit back on whilst I've been working on it bad day explode

thankfully not while I had the wires out!!! "My machine wouldn't start" Muppets!!

Domestic - quite a lot, it seems to me that 3 year olds are very interested in what's in the cupboard under the stairs that the funny people with shiny tools are looking at. I don't trust them at all and I don't think any parent can watch the kids every second.

When the safety police turn up, they like to see locked off and safety labeled breakers. Had them turn up the other day, ooops not locked off as C50 breakers.

I've always been told they don't lock off. They do just need a Wylex MCBLDX

So i now have a shiney new dolly lock and padlock.
