My old college electronics lecturer work'd on GR1 Tornado's.

If I heard the story once about "some sprog sticking a screwdriver across the search radar cap's to drain them" I must have heard it a dozen times over the 3-4 years.

Im also in the same boat as the OP. Its hard finding an apprentice which will take me on so im thinking of joining the RAF as a General Technician (Electrical) but im not sure what type of work is involved. Is it like 2330 education or is it something completely different.

iv been to the careers office done all the initial iq tests ect, the sergeant took one look at my 2330 papers and said he wasnt gonig to bother copying them and to just take them home, there only interested in your gcse grades and barb test scores in the inital process
