Years ago you could get a fixing lug that screwed into old light switch wooden back boxes that enabled a modern accessory to be fitted without the need to put a metal back box in. I remember my Grandad used them in his house in the 70s when he replaced his light switches. Anybody know if you can still get something like this.

My parents house has this redundant bell system with bell pushes in the sitting rooms. It's disconnected but they want to renew one of the pushes purely as an aesthetic measure. The room has just been decorated at vast expense so i'm trying to avoid having to do any chasing.

I don't actually need a working bell. The house dates back to the late 1800s and had this servant's bell system (part of which is still there but inoperative). So it's purely for decoration. Basically just a brass wall plate.
