There's a small garage I know off what has smallish roof space to which I can only get about 6kWp on roof, but has 3 phase supply. Now I don't know of any small 3 phase inverters, so I'm curious to know how back feeding 1 or 2 phases of 3 phase meter will affect the meter.Your opinions please.

But that costs money !! :shakehead

Sometimes I forget the obvious :^O

Getting back to question, would it bugger the meter or generally cause trouble? I kind of assume it would, but I'm curious as to how and how badly?

Forgot to say there is no 3 phase equipment in the workshop, just a few power tools.

SMA do an 8000VA tripower which may suit your needs ? Change the panel for a smaller footprint per kW you may get more panels up there...***** Don't forget if you strengthen the roof you can over hang all edges by 18inches so in reality you could possibly get 10-12kWp up there :slap *****

**** Disclaimer - not to be tried if you know what your doing
I'll be OK with that then. :D
