Did anybody watch the follow up on Dave Fishwick and his new banking system.

It was inevitable that the Fsa were going to have to back down. Particularly with the strongest economy in Europe (Germany) using the very same banking system that Dave is proposing and very successfully.

Good luck to the guy. His never give up attitude will see him through. I do hope that there are more follow ups to this as makes for very uplifting viewing.

I have been following the travesty of justice that masquerades as

the rescuing of RBS by the taxpayer.

Seems that the management envision a "return of RBS to the private

sector" within, what, 2 to 3 years?

We as taxpayers currently own this to the tune of 80%.  The most

recent losses have been put down, we are told, to the mismanagement

of the previous crew headed by "Fred the Shred".

Because the banks have failed to respond to ordinary people who need

loans either in business or just to survive from one month to the next,

I would welcome any banking system that works on the lines of Credit

Unions.

The FSA as it was when RBS failed had no teeth to inflict any damage on

the management at the time, and I doubt if anything has changed.
