hi my name is darren, i am a qualified electrician JIB grade site technician with 17th edition, 2391 test & ins, 2391-20 electrical design. I currently am employed by a company and i provide NICEIC certificates for LUL lifts.

I am now looking to start up my own business doing mainly domestic electrical work and testing. Any tips or advice on the best way to get started will be great.

thanks

Welcome to the forum, there have been various threads about this. If you have a good read through old posts you will find a lot of useful information.

I am sure our members will be along to give you some advise.

If you are a Qualified Supervisor at the company you work I think you might have an easier route to getting QS status for your own company.

Otherwise it should be a piece of cake for yourself. Check what NICEIC want you to do, the hardest bit will be waiting.
