hello everyone,  I have a little problem.  I've got a three phase board, it has the three phase sauna, one phase lighting and sockets connected to it.  The problem i am facing right now. This is a comercial unit.  So the problem is that the sauna makes the RED trip every so often.  And the board is protected by only1 RCD as a main switch.  So when RCD trips the whole lighting and other circuits will be disconnected.  This is causing a lot of hassle for the customer.  And he's wondering if there is anything to do, add additional RCD or do something else without spending a fortune on this.

I have attached a photo so you could better understand what I mean https://pasteboard.co/J82HVIq.jpg

The RCD is doing it's job of protecting the Sauna occupants from an electric shock or worse.

fix the sauna.

Electricity, steam and a faulty sauna is not a good mix,

Given the board appears to have been inspected last October, would it make sense to compare the readings you get now to those from last year?

is the sauna a recent install ?

In addition to the correct first port of call options mentioned above by Andy, ProD' & Murdo'….

What do you call a fortune?

When you say "add additional RCD", where about are you thinking of fitting this additional RCD?

Do you understand how RCD's in series operate?

Have you given the customer the cost for splitting the supply onto a separate board with its own RCD for just the sauna circuit?

and/or is this above or below the "cost a fortune" threshold?

What costs and options have you come up with so far?

How do those figures compare with protecting as person from a possible fatal electric shock?
