Not that I doubt anyone but I rung the elecsa assessor to double check as he will be passing me hopefully and he said 16mm to the rod and 10mm bonding. Not saying it's correct but that's what he said . Cheers

some DNO will not connect if you do not have 16mm to your earth rod so if its a new installation you may be better off putting 16mm in to be on safe side, save doing job twice.

They don't, but if that is what the helpdesk said I think I would go along if it meant I would be assessed and passed.

Would save a debate on the day on who is right or wrong.

I would not like to upset my assessor;)

There is no reason an assessor would get upset about doing what the regs suggest, and not what they think.

It is often what they think that gets a debate going.

On assesment I would rather say yes sir no sir and the proverbial 3 bags full sir.

I have been asked why I have installed 16mm to a rod, and I think I answered why not?

Not a lot the assessor could say to that.
