Bored with just my phone, can't be bothered to unpack my laptop or iPad.

Sitting in Gatwick airport South Terminal, waiting for my train home.

Yep that's just how bored I was, not enough time to do anything useful and too long to wait.

Nevermind, on the train back now and for once the wi-fi is working!

I’ve two projects in progress for Knowledgebase. With all the carp with my neighbour my head is just bouncing around and I simply can’t concentrate.

Late June hopefully life should return to normal

Nothing exciting happening here either, but, following on from todays experiments, i can tell you that if you use perfectly clean dry air, [from BOC in a bottle] with a plasma cutter, cut quality is improved and you will see an UNBELIEVABLE improvement in the life of electrodes and nozzles.. It is a staggering improvement...

[Told you it was not exciting here!!!!]

john...

Is that when you plan to kill him Tony  ?

The 11th of June is when we’re organising a party after the court hearing against the resident idiot. The bit I don’t like is I’m primary witness, I dread the idea of giving evidence in court.

if you need any help with extending your patio, @steptoe is an expert at it

24 years in quarrying, do I need help?

Yeah, & with Tony being T total, Steps would be dragging him down a long dark road... ;)

Paul, don’t you going spreading scurrilous rumours about me. T total, what a bloody insult!

Bunch of saddos! I found today that if you try annealing the ali sheet scavenged from a Fosters can With MAP gas it's very easy to get it wrong:

You all need to get a life!  :innocent

Try not to let it get to you.. See it like this, just state the facts. If the "idiot" does not like this, oh well, truth hurts.. They would not care in the least if it was the other was about i can assure you. Hope you are ok though...

The first picture looks like our first attempt at a beer delivery device. First trial the top and bottom along with the contents of the beer can went about 450m. The body of the can was jambed in the barrel of the mortar beer delivery device. The 2nd attempt using less black powder the can was successfully launched about 300m but the catchers (process lads) complained the beer was warm on landing. And so the Sunday afternoon shift proceeded in its usual chaotic pattern until I got the call on the radio from the plant manager asking if I knew where the bangs were coming from?

Read Spike Milligan’s Adolf Hitler my part in his downfall.

CO on telephone “what was that bang”.

Milligan, “I don’t know”

CO, “well go and have a look!”

Milligan “have you ever tried to find a bang in the dark that’s gone away?”

That’s how it was, when asked nobody knew anything.

I miss work, especially I miss the bunch of lunatics I worked with.

cross, slide,on my lathe has more slack, than a wizards sleeve

decided to fix it

narrowed it down to a dodgy cross feed nut

took its to,bits

wrong nut...someonemhas just cobbled one to fit

lathe is from 1963!

fettled a new bit of brass ...then to put a 1/2" LH  10 TPI thread in it.

beejayzus that was hard work 😓

brand new tap,and it must have taken an hour at least

now to take it to bits again to,see if it fits

problem is having to put it back together to make the  bit to fix  the initial, problem

Hmm.. I have often thought about making one of them compressed air cannons, but with one of the big propane cylinders as a reservoir.. Black powder would be my first choice, but i do not have the licence to buy it, and Pyrodex is too expensive.. I could make my own, but thanks to the activities of our muslim friends, this sort of thing is frowned on now.... Acetylene and oxygen would work REALLY well, but once again, i do not have a shotgun cert, and i think that only goes up to a certain bore size!! You would not have to worry about the barrel proofing acts, unless you wanted to sell it!! I used to have a firearm cert and a shotgun cert many many years ago, but i doubt they would give me them back now.....

All good clean fun that the foreigners have gone and spoilt....
