Hi

Looking at buying a 240v Hammer drill and have seen two that I like, which are similar in price.

One is the Makita HR2470 and the other is a Bosch GBH2-26DRE

Just looking for opinions on the best one

Thanks

i have had both and not really much between em ... comfort and looks i prefer the makita .. rotar stop is a must.

Well I have a Makita 240v jobbie...

dunno what number it is cuz its all worn off and faded...

But its approx 10years old now! :)

and I would have another Makita no probs!

(think I fitted 3 sets of brushes during that time!)

That said.. Bosch are also V-Good IMHO:C

Just been cutting 3 more 100m extractor vent holes with it this week..

I do think some of the bearings are wearing a bit now.. so will probably be replacing it within the next 18months or so....

But...

I have been thinking that for the past 3 years!!!! :O:^O:popcorn

The Bosch is 800w and 0-3 Joules, the Makita is 780w and 0-2.7 Joules

I'd go for the Bosch GBH2-26DFR. Handy for those odd occasions when you can't be bothered to go out in the rain and get your rotary drill.
