Thank you. I found a replacement connector with 3m of cable online. If I cut the existing cable and suggestions to join it to the new connector/cable?You have answered your own question
You would need to open the "plug" to get to the cable, but it will be welded closed, the only way to open it will be destructive. Some things are not repairable, this is one such thing.
You might need to use a small connector or soldering method. Consider using a heat shrink connector or a similar repair kit designed for tight spaces. If soldering, make sure to insulate the connection properly to avoid further issues.Hello. Can anyone advise how to repair this broken cable? It’s snapped too close to the adapter to cut and rejoin. Many thanks
Look at the voltage and type AC OR DC and purchase a new transformer from Internet of sai d voltage and type connect the broken cable correct polarity on to new transformer and your set of lights should be OK againHello. Yes, it unscrews. I’ve bought a new connector with attached cable which will have to be joined to the existing cable. Any advise on joining the 2 cables? They’re a bit like speaker cable in diameter. They aren’t marked with any coloured sleeves so I’m assuming they 2 cables are the sameDoes the bit with the vertical grooves looking at the pic just unscrew allowing you to plug in your new lead?
Hard to tell without actually seeing it in person.
