Building safety bill. The next Gravy train on it's way?

This is the next "building safety" legislation heading our way.

Why do I get the feeling this is the next gravy train / cost / unnecessary red tape that is about to hit us?

Lets hope my retirement comes before I have to deal with any of that.

The sad thing is unless these "organisations" have TEETH and INSPECTORS and TAKE ACTION nothing will improve

The Mandatory EICR's for rental properties is proof how things get out of control very quickly IMHO

I couldn't believe it when I heard that many buildings have  Fire Alarms that trigger  smoke extraction systems  ...BUT  ..no audible warning  :C

from what I've seen of AoVs (automatic smoke vents) they tend to be independent of the fire panel, and often not working properly becuase nobody maintains them.
