@SharpendSorry for confusion,electrical officer is above an electrician and chief electrician but below a captain,a chief engineer or a second engineer.
How do you know that?That's not true.You do need physics chapters like electricity,thermodynamics and mechanics to understand how the relays,generators,electrical and pneumatic engines and the automated fuses work in the ships.Where did you heard that?mate of mine works at sea. started 4th engineer working his way up. ad he knows prety much nothing about electrics as its not something you need to know...
