CCTV cable

Hello all

Completed a re wire last month and the bloke had his car broke in to. R8..... So he has bodged a 4 Chanel CCTV set.

He has asked if I could do it properly lol

No he has cut one cable it has 2 cores and an outer sheeth.

Now I connected the cores and the outer sheath in a block and I can't get a signal???

I get continuity between one core and the outer sheath.

One core is yellow and one red?

Any help to get some signal would be great thanks

Yellow is video & red is voltage +. The braided 'sheath' is a common -

Has he put a cable clip nail through the cable ?
