Hi,

we tend not to use CCTV displays, the manufacturers seem to use the fact that its for CCTV to inflate the price, LCD series 5 samsung and up are excellent displays for CCTV, we have kitted out several control room video walls with displays from the series 5 to the series 8, they just cant be beat.

I run my 16 camera system at home of a network connection that is fed to a 55" samsung and it looks gorgeous.

As for splitting the signal, with a display badged for CCTV use, you will have at least two bnc connectors on the rear, one input, and one output, so two monitors can be daisey chained however as its the same signal there isnt much point unless the second monitor is in a different location. splitting the output camera wise depends on the DVR, most of the better DVR's have a Spot and Main display outputs that can be controlled and displayed separately so depends on the DVR you have, easier to just stick with a larger display.
