hi all,

i have in the past had a wet solar installation that i did myself over 10 years ago, (some of you may remember Navitron), it has worked well but has never lived up to "predicted savings".

i have now moved and want to investigate solar plus battery storage, but i'm not ready to go this year,

the question is: is there some kind of cheap 1sqm panel that i can hook up to an app, so that i can see just how much light () i'm getting on my roof? , i have directly east and west facing roof surfaces on a bungalow, so around a 30 degree elevation, so want to monitor it acurately this year so i can get the most optimum design..

does such a thing exist?

thanks A

I've never seen one, but there's good data available for 'average outputs' from a kw of solar panels. What may well be worth lookig at is the SMA portal, many people have open access to their system info, so you can look at real world figures hopefully on a roof near you.
