Ceiling light / heater

Hi lads , got rang up by a couple of pensioners , light and heater gone out in the bathroom, turned up tp find a ceiling light/heater all in one thing ?? standard sw out side the room to control the light , and a pull cord on the light which controlled the heater , sort of like a halogen .... any one seen one of theses before ? its about 1 ft away from the edge of the bath , you could easily touch it from in the bath when standing and looks very dangerous , what are your thoughts?

Sounds like one I ripped out a while ago!!

I replaced it with a 2D fitting and a 2kW downflow

Also beware it has 2 supplies!!

Got one in my bathroom got it many years ago from dimplex. not been used for years as the pullcord is missing took it of to stop daughter leaving on every time she went in the bathroom.

She's married and left home now ought to put pull cord back on especially this weather.

Never had a problem.

Had the downflow in the old house very good but the infra red heater on the dimplex seems warmer (nice red glow)
