Any business that has no idea how to work out thier own product costs will have some serious difficulties IMHO. Every business has to cover thier stock, overheads and staffing costs. Typically for a sole trader this is materials, labour, insurances, fuel. These items differ around the country and relative to the size of business. Slipshop gives a prime example of many typical costs that have to be taken into account as well as the basic material stock item you are supplying. As such any costing advice on the forum has to be treated with caution by anyone who has no idea how to work out their own costings.
