Music often defines our formative years , through school and the teenage times .....we are all different in different eras , mine were epitomised by Elvis , Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly etc    all gone ...........and now Chuck Berry , the man who launched a thousand imitators .

Edit;   Just had a memory flood back ,  think I was about 13  , a mate from down the road comes up to my house with an LP       ( Its big circular vinyl disc that spins round and plays music really loud and upsets neigbours!!!)     " You gotta hear this guy's guitar riffs " he says  .

A great guitarist and inspiration to many.

He'll be missed.

We could all take a leaf out of his book.

When he turned up to play a gig he demanded cash up front.

No cheques or promises, just hard cash.

No cash, No music.

As a tribute to Chuck l might just put that in my T&C's.

Cash up front or no electrickery :B

Apparently he'd been ripped off too many times , that was the reason .   He only took his guitar , no amps etc ,  just plugged into whoever was the support act ...who ,  also needed to know  his music .     I heard he liked to throw them a curved ball by changing the key  at the last minute.
