Why oh why do people spend money refurbing everything thing but the essentials like the electrics do they not understand the cables are 50 years old and need replacing. I chap I worked for a good few years back refubed bathroom all very nice but the pipes feeding it were galvanised and full of rust. Every time water was switched off and back on the shower would fill with rust and block up. Now when we brought our house from council the first thing we did was replace old pipes council had rewired so that was not necessary you get basics done first then the nice parts.
