haha

you carry a thermic lance in your van for this type of installation andy?

If you drill into the walls you will void manufacturers warranty. When I have done them I have gripfilled boards onto concrete and then you can fix your accessories to this. I usually do them in swa as its quicker than conduit. You have to allow two days to do job as you fix boards first day and then wiring and switches another day when gripfill has gone off.

Don't you find after time these "wonder filler adhesives" tend to loose there adhesive properties and come loose???

I have been to loads of jobs where Picture rails / Dado rails etc have just been stuck on the wall,

and the slightest disturbance trying to chase or feed behind them caused them to fall off!! :(

Gripfill is good stuff the solvent one best. I think it's some of the cheaper own brand ones that fail - I had some crap SF own brand no more nails that did as you say.

no nails normally fails due to fixing to a bad surface or dusty plaster. If you stick it to dry concrete it aint goin nowhere.
