connecting a bell

Hi Lads, just in the middle of fitting an alarm, its a Optima 8ep396a , just after some info on connecting the bell, i know this is basic to some, but i don't fit alarms, its part of a rewire im doing, so doing it all out the manual,

at the panel , iv wired as follows

yellow / strobe-

white / T

Green / A

Red / D (+)

Black / B (-)

At the bell, i have as below, have i wired it right

tamper .....green

trig ... white

pos...... red

neg..... black

strobe neg .......... yell

colours dont mean much Stevie,

do you have the manual for both the bell and the panel?

it should tell you which connection is which in both,

although it can be a nightmare sometimes trying to get stuff combined, thats usually why I just get the same system throughout.

ahhh that's the thing, seem to of misplaced the manual ...... iv done a couple of texacom alarms, but as you say, i stick to matching panel and bell on the rare occasions i try to fit alarm.... not so this time as this is all the wholesalers had in ...

BBC 1? that makes a change, NFL is normally covered by smaller channels on the whole.

wire the bell as follows

Yellow to tamper at the bell and t at panel

blue to bell at the bell and B- at panel

green to strobe at the bell and strobe - at panel

red to pos at bell and D at panel

black to neg at bell and A at panel

This will work, trust me i do this for a living
