I have to move a consumer unit and in order to do so will have to extend all the circuits. What is the best and neatest way to do this. Its a 10 way consumer unit each way is used. Some of the circuits I could take back to the last point and renew that cable but what about the ones I can't do that on and have to extend. I'd prefer to put them all in one enclosure (if that makes sense) rather than having lots of junction boxes.

Anyone got any little tips to make the job as neat as possible

Depends how many cables you end up with, Wagos or DIN rail and Klippons would be my choice.

I would put large enclosure (big enough for all joints) at the existing position or suitable point near to it and crimp all conductors thru.

Dont forget ISOLATE elsewhere label and WARNING 230 Volts (Latter not required by regs but advisable)

I think the Wago people or whatever they're called now do an enclosure with din rail and push in connectors (needing tool to release) It looks really neat to me.

I am pretty sure I have seen it before, But Have you or anyone else got a link to that please?

Many Thanks,

Lazy Admin.
