cooker oven element fault

Hi all,

this is my first thread on the forum (passing time on yet another nightshift) - and im just aiming for it to be both helpful and informative.

Me and my fiancees fan assisted oven stopped working mid cooking -pie and chips! so after a basic examination - fan still worked, i decided to set about replacing the element. the indesit manual stated the oven type/model so after a bit of searching on the tinternet i found a replacement part no problem for about

Brand names quite often nowadays that is all they are, particularly with electrical goods the heart/guts of the machine are produced by a few actual manufacturers and re-banded for particular brands sometimes with different casing and control layouts

Indeed, they just curve or square a moulding on an outer case...

or re-shape a door handle... etc...

bang a new sticker on it...
