Hi,

I have run in a 10mm T&E cable for the cooker cct on my new build, I have used this as we will be having a large "Range cooker" and want to make the supply future proof.

Two issues:

1) The 47mm double back boxes (Appleby) I am using do not have 25mm entry and exit knockouts on both ends (if mounted vertically), I need these knockouts as I want to use 25mm conduit in the wall space. The wholesaler I use only sell Appleby boxes.

Does anyone know of a make that have 25's on both ends?

2) Will a standard 45A cooker switch take 10mm cable? If not again does anyone know of a make in chrome that will accomodate this size?

Cheers,

Leatherneck.

You can get the 10mm cable through a 20mm knockout, but not if you fit a grommet and it won't go through 20mm round conduit.

I have a cutter that my wife brought up to the new house and allegedly gave me, I have not seen it since. I begrudge paying another

In facrt best thing would be a 20mm inside a 25mm (if you can do it) so the 20mm acts as a guide for the 25mm.

It's okay,

I retried the 10mm cable through a fitted 20mm grommet and it does go.

I will fit the 25mm conduit upto the grommet.

Thanks for your comments.
