We work in Sefton MBC area were grants for domestic re-wires are available.

Does anyone else have this where they live? the nearby other two local councils do not give grants.(or so they say)

The problem has come up with regard to costing. We have done quite a few grant jobs mainly for people over 60 or on benefit. All gone through no problem. All of a sudden we are being told that our prices are too high by the council blokes.

Dont worry we had no thought of doing the job for that price. We are fully NICEIC approved with all the overheads that brings aswell, so 2 of us for a week , we would strugle to make a grand and thats before the taxman takes his bit. Just thought that the recession was meaning people are working for nothing and my prices are out . Thanks for your reply

 
im doing a part rewire on a 3 bed house, lighting circuit x 1 to full rewire. 2 x ring sockets, 1 x heating, and shower to relocate into floor void as in trunking relocate fuseboard, supply new tails and test, 1 radial for 4 sockets for computers and 1 outdoor /side entry sockets radial.
