CPX Wireless options

Hi,

I'm looking at a installing a CPX panel linked to a wireless reciever.

I've not dabbled with wireless before but have fitted lots of CPX's (& CP8) - for this reason I'd like to stick to CPX as I know the menu's etc really well.

From what I can find out - the Hybrid GT reciever is looking good and only

You can fit any wireless receiver to the CPX but only the GardTec kit will connect directly and interface properly with it. Different manufacturers use their own closed protocols so it onl;y works with their own kit. If you fit another brand of receiver then you're only going to be linking it on the zone inputs so effectively you end up with 2 systems and a lot of links. The CPX might struggle here with the limited zones depending what outputs you need to link and depending on the grade of the system.

Personally I steer clear of the 'better value' wireless systems.
