Shouldn't a separate run CPC be bigger than 1.5mm...

for compliance with 543.1.1 & 543.3.1 ?

Wow, a council actually applying some good practice. Which council is that Robin?Doc H.
I do a lot of sub-contracting for my local housing trust and believe me they show very little common sense and any practice, good or bad, is left in the hands of the sub-contractor. I've removed all sorts of horrors and walked straight back out of some properties due to diy bodging by so called "proper electricians" or tennants.

No chance of running seperate CPC then.

I often find no CPC visible, but on checking cable have found cpc just cut away - if enough slack this can often be reinstated
