Hello again everybody,
I have a question as the title suggests about current transformers, I need to fit one to the irrigation pump I'm doing to step down the current for the protection relay. The main one I can find is a 50/5 CT and I was wondering, do they work in the form of a ratio or is it a set value?
What I mean is if I put in 50A I get 5A out but since that s a ratio of 10:1 does that mean if I put in 10A I'll get 1A out.
I hope this makes sense and I hope I'm not being overly stupid
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Bobby
