so, if Ive got this right, on one CAT 5e [or better] I can have 2x network connections, or, 1 network and 2x telephone lines?

t'internet only uses 2pair so I have 2 pair going spare to do with as I want, or would it cause too much cross interference?

Actually you dont need the bellwire (3) so the BT voice service is only really using one pair. However . .

Can he not use Devolo 500 plugs to make ethernet sockets available all over the place? The trouble with pinching telephone / ethernet pairs like this is that the next guy to come along will likely not understand what has been done and mess it up.

If you must the neatest way for the slave socket end is modular sockets, one Telephone slave and one ethernet 2 gangs on one plate and hoping there is slack in the cable to share the cores out in the backbox.

The situation at the master socket end is trickier as there will be a BT faceplate with the Infinity filter splitter ontop of it and the wiring to the slave connected inside the consumer faceplate on top of the filter It may be a challenge to connect to the other cores at that point by any means except soldering on a short link to a next door Ethernet socket.
