I have 11, 5 Amp Lamp sockets to get in a circuit, now the OSG states, "For Socket Outlets other than 2A socket outlets and other than 13A socket outlets, assume Rated Current"

Now I'm no mathematician, but that little lot comes to 55A. No way is this kiddy dragging 10mm T&E around the house for a few table lamps:_|

Help me out with some Diversity someone.

use lighting diversity, class each socket as one point. get it down to a few amps.

(and using you logic with the rated current, you would need something larger than 10mm

I know it's obvious that the biggest load this circuit is likely to take is 2.87A. That's assuming a 60W lamp in each outlet, all on together, It just reads odd in OSG.

60/230 = 0.26A X 11 = 2.87A

To rate the socket at 5A you would have to have a 1150W bulb in!!

I can just see it now, a house with 1000w floodlights as table lamps.
