i don't think so Patch?!Have you got a different browser set as your default (firefox?) and an internet explorer link to google?
I did try the New shortcut, but that was the same. I still have IE 7. I think?!Try making a new short cut, if that works, delete the old one.You haven't upgraded to IE 8 have you?

Looks as if the registry entry for the object linking your shortcuts to the browser.exe might be SNAFU, what if you drill down through the dir to click on IE.exe does that work normally?...Everytime I click on my Internet Desktop Shortcut, I get a list to choose from in order for me to open it up.
It never used to do this - so why is it doing it now?

Remove the shortcut, make google the default homepage of IE and Firefox..PS. I have tried selecting the "Always Use..." box at the bottom, but that doesn't work.

Windoze XP. How do I go to the default programes page? When I click on my shortcut and select what I want to open it with, Google - My homepage - opens as it.Which system are you using. XP or Vista?Can you go to the default programs page, and set IE7 as your default browser?
They are set up as the homepage of IE and FF.Remove the shortcut, make google the default homepage of IE and Firefox..
