The report is not clear, but that looks to be the old Didcot A coal powered plant that's being dismantled?
If its disused how come theres a major incident where there still people still on the site
something might have collapsed uncontrolled whilst being demolished?

That would be my guess. Looking at it, it's just a shell of a building, and it looks like part of it collapsed when presumably they were not expecting it to do so.
Sad for the person who lost their life and their familly.

There has been an explosion with one confirmed dead.
The site is still being demolished & they do use explosives to drop the larger sections of buildings.................the cooling towers came down back in 2014 I think.
Locals are normally warned when they are going to go bang with demo charges.

Npower now says it was a partial collapse, not an explosion. Regardless of the cause, I really feel for the families of the dead and missing.
