Hi,

I have a digital Heatmiser PRT-ETS thermostat that has decided to pack up (digital screen is not responsive but connections are fine) in the one room where it is actually needed the most come winter.  I checked the prices and its 83 quid!  Warranty is out.

Dimensions and fitting space aside for a new controller module, are the connections on various digital thermostats the same?  There is the floor sensor wire obviously, I wondered if anyone knew if these probes are cross compatible with other cheaper thermostats?  I moved in and this HM was already there, but I only need basic functionality and not all the bells and whistles that come with these things, I've seen ebay sell Thermostats a lot cheaper.

I dont have ability to post the manual in case that helps but if you google heatmiser prt ets the PDF appears up the top results.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

guess who watched the adventure game as a kid???  :D

without knowing the actual specs of the stat you want to fit,

I'd hazard a guess that most are cross compatible, you should be able to change the floor sensor if you find the new stat requires a different resistance,

the floor sensor should be installed in a small bore flexible conduit.
