Dimmer Switches

I did some work for a lady a few weeks ago and now she has asked if i can change 2 light switches for Dimmer switches. So we have 1 ceiling light and 2 switches both turn it on and off, can these be replaced for dimmer switches and both work the same light fitting? any ides please. I somehow think they need to be master and slave is that right....

Would it work with one Dimmer switch and one rocker switch.

Is this a 2 way light if so you only need to fit 1 dimmer switch at 1 of the light switches CJS

Yes this is a two way light, can be turned on and off at either switch depending on which door you go out and come into the room

If you fitted 1 dimmer on the 2 way light the level could be set and some dimmers you push on and off and twist to dim. That way you could set the lighting level with the dimmer and turn on or off from either switch.

What happens if you come in the out door and go out the indoor and turn the switches off or on at the wrong end ?
